A Merry 2013 Christmas

A Little Too Much Christmas Spirit Maybe?

I have been so busy that I forgot to post something for Christmas. Personally my Christmas present to myself was carpal tunnel surgery. It has been a struggle to get things done with my dominant hand barely functioning but I managed. I did have to teach my wife how to use the snow blower and she is now apprenticing on roasting coffee. I think by the New Year I should be back to normal, or hopefully better than my normal of the past 10 years.

My coffee news of the season is that I have a new bean to roast, Cost Rica Honey. Between the surgery and the Christmas rush, I have not had a chance to do any trial roasts but I am looking forward to cupping it. I also brought in some Nepal Mount Everest coffee to try again. It was delicious the last time I stocked it but not a big seller.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed by now but I have a new tab across the top, New and Used Equipment. If you check it out you will see the new French Presses, Neapolitan Coffee Makers and the Gamea Espresso and Cappuccino Machines. I also have a selection of used brewers and coffee grinders available. You will have to contact me for the price of any used equipment.

I wish every coffee lover out there a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and remember, if you are going to drink, drink good stuff, and that goes not only for coffee but beer, wine, scotch or even water.
